2017 IT Salary Report: 69 IT Jobs in 400 U.S. Metropolitan Areas, 20 Industry Sectors

The Computer Economics 2017 IT Salary Report provides salary ranges for 69 specific IT job positions. The salary tables, in a searchable Excel workbook, provide base salaries plus bonus pay for more than 400 U.S. metropolitan areas and 20 industry sectors.

The report is based on our annual survey of representative IT organizations on median salaries and bonuses paid to their IT professionals for positions under study  along with other sources of pay data and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) compensation data. The study also includes job definitions for each position covered.

The executive summary provides our forecast for pay raises and hiring in 2017, job descriptions, and an explanation of our methodology. Compensation data is provided in an Excel workbook with salaries reported at the 10th, 25th, 50th (median), 75th, and 90th percentiles for each position in the table below.
